| Davita Dialysis Center Now Open on FCHC Campus |

| The new Hemodialysis Center that has been under construction on the north end of the Fulton County Health Center campus is now open. The facility is owned by Fulton County Health Center and is managed by DaVita, a nationwide provider of dialysis services. Davita staffs the facility with Registered Nurses, dialysis technicians, a social worker and a dietitian. In addition, doctors who are kidney specialists (nephrologists) make rounds to check on patients. Hemodialysis treatment removes the excess toxins and fluid from a patient whose kidneys are not functioning properly. Treatments typically occur three times a week and last for 3-4 hours each time.
