Diabetes Education
Recognized by the American Diabetes Association for meeting the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management, the Fulton County Health Center Diabetes Education office offers an education and self-management education program for persons diagnosed with diabetes. The Diabetes Education program includes classes led by certified diabetes educators, registered dietitians, and fitness experts in comfortable classroom settings. These classes are available with a physician order and are covered by Medicare and most insurance. There are also separate low-cost monthly evening classes available to all for a $5 fee.

Another program offered through Diabetes Education is called Mountain Climbing. The Mountain Climbing program is a monthly community education program that covers a variety of topics regarding diabetes, and is available to the public at a minimal cost per session. It is offered the first Wednesday of the month from 9:00 - 11:00 am and repeated on the second Thursday of the month from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.

We also offer support group meetings on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 - 10:30 (excluding the first Wednesday of the month) and in the evening on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 5:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. with no charge.
